¨The trip was absolutely incredible,
two weeks that I will treasurefor the rest of my life¨.

Our Cordillera Real Expedition program is aimed
at aspirant mountaineers with little or no previous mountaineering
experience who are looking to expand their skills and experience
in an incredible High Altitude setting.
The ease of access and the almost non-existent
approaches in the Cordillera Real make it possible to climb several
peaks in a short stay. We will spend 15 days visiting the highest
Capital City in the World, Lake Titikaka the craddle of the Inca
empire, the world´s highest developed Sxy area, Tiwanaku Bolivia´s
most important archeological site, and climbing five beautiful and
accesible mountains. We will stand over 6,400 m (21,000 ft) summit,
staring at the vast expanse of peaks stretching north and south.
Later the same evening, freshly-showered and clean-shaven, we celebrate
our succes over a few beers in a folk music show.

the way back to La Paz we´ll have an incredible view over the whole
Cordillera Real de los Andes.

animals carrying the bulk of our gear, we make an easy-paced ascent
to our base camp at 4,650 m (15,252 ft). The trek takes us through
some beautiful valley landscapes, and our camp provides excellent
views of the many surrounding mountains and puts us in position
to make a series of single-day ascents.
DAY 5: PEQUEÑO ALPAMAYO. 5,370 m (17,614 ft). Our primary
goal in this group are Tarija and Pequeño Alpamayo, a hidden peak
with a very impressive pyramidal summit. climb a broad glacier to

DAY 9: HUAYNA POTOSI - SUMMIT . 6,088 m (19,968 ft) We
rise early for our summit attempt. We begin our climb on a steep
hard snow of 50° and then traverse to easier snow slopes where we

our burros for the trek to basecamp. The four-hour walk to basecamp
leads through small farming villages and alpine meadows.
DAY 12: ILLIMANI
- HIGH CAMP. Move up to Illimani high camp at Nido de
Condores ("Condor's Nest") at 17,880 ft., about 4-6 hours

steep slopes (30-40 degrees) for several hours before reaching the

finest peaks is outstanding. A great reward to a strenuous and fantastic
