a) Our guide staff. The Bolivian Journeys guide team is the finest in Bolivia. They are Aymaras with a natural adaptation to the Altitude. All our guides have been working for us for about 7 years already, so theyŽre part of the Bolivian Journeys family. They must be the guides that climb the most in the Andes.
b) Our gear. Bolivian Journeys has a big investment on equipment: from 4x4 models 95 $us 20,000 a piece to North Face and Mountain Hardware tents, including 4 season mess tents (Mountain Hardware Satellite model), cell phones, handies, oxygen, climbing and camping gear, etc. We highly recommend you to visit some other operators in La Paz, even those that have web sites on the Internet and youŽll see the big difference between they and us.
c) WeŽre enough experienced to make you're your trip to Bolivia pleasant, thatŽs why we do the assistance with the organisation of International Expeditions and Operators, reknowed companies that roganise expeditions all over the World.

Deposit due to reserve a position: $us 200 .  YouŽll pay the balance amount at your arrival here in La Paz.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED TO CANCEL OR CHANGE THE DATE OF MY TRIP? Top
Cancellations are non-refundable however can be rescheduled with a fee. Cancellations made less than 15 days before the scheduled date are no reschedule. "No Shows" are non-refundable and no reschedule option will be available.

We wonŽt cancel your trip, for no reason, weŽll start the trip even if youŽre the only one.
DO I NEED TO PURCHASE TRIP INSURANCE? Top
We highly encourage trip cancellation and travel insurance. This comprehensive travel insurance provides coverage for trip cancellation, interruption, travel delays, loss of baggage and travel documents, baggage delays, medical expenses and emergency assistance.
WHEN SHOULD I PLAN TO LEAVE AND RETURN HOME? Top
It depends on the program you take, we remind you that you need a week for acclimatization.
WHAT IF I WANT TO ARRIVE EARLIER OR DEPART LATER THAN THE TRIP DATES? Top
No problem. There is a lot to do in La Paz we will recommend you day trips.
WHERE SHOULD I STAY IN LA PAZ? Top
There are good hotels in La Paz, options depend on your budget. We can help you with hotel reservations according to your budget.
HOW DO I GET TO WHERE I NEED TO BE? Top
You should fly to La Paz, weŽll pick you up at the airport and take you to your hotel. This is a free service for our clients.

All of our guides are highly skilled professionals who have been selected based on their technical proficiency, proven safety records, careful judgement, patient and supportive teaching styles, and great personalities. Yes you can, we have double plastic mountaineering boots, crampons, ice axes, harnesses, helmets, sleeping bags, pads, and much more.
HOW HEAVY WILL MY PACK BE? Top
All our trips are supported by mules and porters, so you wonŽt be carrying more than 15 pounds.
IS IT POSSIBLE FOR ME TO STORE EXTRA GEAR AND CLOTHING THAT I WILL NOT NEED? Top
Yes it is, either at our office or at the hotel.
WHAT KIND OF FOOD WILL THERE BE ON MY TRIP? Top
Gourmet food (fresh food), a blend of high-quality foods prepared by our guides or cook. You donŽt have to cook or clean-up . We are happy to accommodate for those with vegetarian diets. The quality of expedition food has a surprising effect on a climber's morale and this goes on to affect performance. Over the years, we have constantly updated our 'menu' to keep everyone nourished and happy!
